What Are We?
We are pretty much fed up...
Originally we wanted to be a non profit/charitable organization, but were told we couldn't criticize governments, comment on policy or participate in any public advocacy. We said fine, and chose private enterprise instead.
This move stems from our past work with victims of questionable international adoption practices, which took place in Europe during the early 90's, shortly after communism's decline.
We witnessed first hand how children had been traded like commodities, seen orphanages that looked like horror film sets, families torn apart under false pretenses and grown adults today, left in identity limbo, unable to legally prove who they really are.
Unsurprisingly, we learned that many high ranking government officials, as well as prominent attorneys, took part in convincing parents to part with their children, or falsified birth records, exporting children for profit.
Naively, we appealed to various institutions meant to assist citizens with such cases, only to realize the system does not always align with what is right. It quickly became clear, few wanted to help, and those who could remained silent, out of fear of internal retribution.
Enough Was Enough...
We soon adopted a more cut throat approach, marching into state institution and boisterously reminding public servants who really runs the show, quickly learning that their bravado melts like butter in the face of well informed citizens.
Our goal now is to take it to the next level, employing the means to not only investigate, apply pressure and expose corrupt officials, but simultaneously assist victims in family reunification, identity restoration and for those willing, sharing their incredible stories.
That being said.
We need capital, and a decent amount too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
*100% of earned profits from shirt and sticker sales goes to victim first resolution and anticorruption initiatives!*
Exposing these guys isn't cheap. Travel + administrative and procedural costs for victims adds up. Our hope is to one day offer full sponsorships for individuals seeking true justice. But for that, we need you!
Let's be real, you're not really buying a shirt or even just a sticker (we get it, money's tight). That's a bonus. What you are actually buying, is a better tomorrow.
The shirt you can wear to bed.
